Most of us have very busy schedules to manage, between school, work, family, and financial obligations within our fast-paced society. Trying to manage the many expectations and challenges is causing a large part of our society to experience stress. Stress is one of the biggest contributors to many of our health concerns. When we become stressed or anxious our body responds physiologically with a racing heart, tremors, breathing difficulty and the desire to escape or fight. Some stress is good as it pushes us to act when needed, but too much stress can cause a host of unwelcome conditions. Many people suffer from migraines, body aches, depression, physical weakness, and loss of motivation to name a few. These conditions affect how we interact with others at work and at home. Stress comes from worry and fear and we often have these feelings when we are unclear about what to do in certain situations or when we have too much to do. When you remove some of the conditions of stress you will be on a path to improved wellness. The Center's number one goal is to help you remove some of those conditions with relaxation techniques such as mindfulness meditation, reiki, acupressure and wellness coaching.
When you are in a place of complete relaxation your body and mind become still and quiet. This stillness allows you to be in touch with your spirit or essence. When you allow your true spirit to emerge, your true path and life's purpose is revealed. When your goals and motivations become clear you can strip away the things that no longer serve you. Learning to practice relaxation on a regular basis will bring the life you dream about into reality. An easy way to relax is to get out and experience nature.
Nature has been used in healing for centuries, not only did our ancestors use plants and herbs for healing, they understood that spending time in nature and being active contributed to our emotional well-being. The healing powers of nature have proven to change our physiology by calming the central nervous system. The Center has space for you to walk, meditate, meet up, and share experiences and knowledge with others in a beautiful natural setting. Spending time relaxing in nature brings us to a place of freedom from worry and fear and improves our well-being.
